Yesterday, I had to let him go. I feel alone and empty. He followed me like a shadow for 13 years. I hadn’t planned on the events of yesterday, but in my heart of hearts I knew I was doing the best for him. I’ll miss his wagging tail, his smell, and the walks we took together everyday. But most of all I’ll miss his companionship and unconditional love. He was my best friend and the best thing in my life. I don’t think I’ll be the same again. Goodbye mate please forgive me.
