June 7, 2008 – Chester was put to rest after an extended illness. Chester was a slate gray domestic shorthair with a white spot on his chest. I adopted Chester through Tracy Hunt, a good-hearted animal lover who I worked with at the Daily Reporter in Greenfield, Indiana. She was generous enough to split the costs of his initial vet bills if I agreed to take him. Chester’s favorite activities were fetching ink pens and wallowing on leather shoes. Vices aside, he was often described as regal.
