Dorothy, we’ve had you for ten long years, since I was just 8-years old. All through the years you’ve been with us, through all the bad and good times. It never seemed like you would go and to go so suddenly like you have today is beyond shocking. It doesn’t seem like you have gone. It’s like you’re outside in our garden shed right now, waiting for us to open the back door, hopping in and rubbing your head against our ankles. If only we had noticed that something wasn’t right sooner we could have rid you of that nasty tumour which took you away from us. Seeing you in pain on our living room floor today was heartbreaking. As horrible as it sounds, you were put down peacefully. You may have been in a lot of pain then, but you’re in a better place now. RIP little Dorothy. Never forgotten. xxx
