Smokey was a rescue kitten who lived to be 18. We still miss this sweet, affectionate kitty so much and always will.

Oh Pepper, We love you so very much, and it's going to be a long time before we can adjust to your absence with us here. We keep looking for you to pop up around the house, but we know that can't happen. We were privileged to love you for such a very short time, only 8 months, but your mom & I both agree that your sweet self became family the moment we laid our eyes on you. I rescued a kitten who was picked up by animal control and had to be quarantined for 10 days. They let me take her if I would pay for quarantine at my own vet. Turns out she has 2 broken legs, broken pelvis and spinal damage. He recommended she be put to sleep. All I can think is that the reason I couldn't get her off my mind and was led to rescue her was b/c the vet said it would be inhumane to quarantine her for 10 days. It was so heartbreaking!!
