Our Spikey was a lovely little cairn terrier. He was a real character, and didn’t do anything he didn’t want to do, but we loved him. We had him a long time, nearly 17 years, and the house feels empty without him. We keep going to the door of his conservatory to let him on the house. He wasn’t well towards the end, and couldn’t see very well, so we just looked after him and loved him, as you would an elderly relative.
