He was only a little mouse but to me he was so special. He had been my daughter’s pet but when he bit her in his impetuous youth she gave him to me. I tended and cared for him and over time a unique bond grew between us. He was gentle and trusting and we had some lovely playtimes together. He loved the mazes I made out of blocks of wood. When he was tired he would snuggle in my hand that I would tuck into the top of my fleecy sweater. Gradually old age took him and today he passed away.
